The Cape Sangha meets every Sunday from 4:30 until 6 p.m. at the Unity Church of the Light, 147 Walton Ave., Hyannis, Mass.. (See directions below.)

Special Events, 2008

• To celebrate the 11th anniversary of the Cape Sangha, we will hold a two-day residential retreat at the beautiful Craigville Conference Center from Friday, Sept. 19 until Sunday Sept. 21. The inspirational dharma teacher Joanne Friday has agreed to lead us. There would be residential accommodations for 30 people, and others would be able to attend as commuters. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together and deepen our practice with the assistance of a respected teacher.

Typically, a meeting will include two 20-minute sittting meditations, a walking meditation, spiritual readings, recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings, and some discussion.

Through the generosity of the Rev. Steve Carty Cordry of the Unity Church of the Light, we now meet in a beautiful church building accross from the Cape Cod mall, just west of the Airport Rotary in Hyannis. The address is 147 Walton Aveenue in Hyannis.

There are many ways to get to Hyannis. For those coming from a distance, take Route 6 to exit 6 and then take Route 132 south to the Airport Rotary in Hyannis.

From the Airport Rotary in Hyannis, take Route 28 “north” (toward Centerville and Falmouth) Then take your third left onto Walton Avenue. It is less than half a mile from the rotary. The Unity Church is the second building on the right.

There is plenty of free parking behind the church, and you can enter by the rear door facing the parking lot. We will be meeting right in the main sanctuary.
